Parents’ Council of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi is a support group of committed Islander parents involved in activities which promote the University, and enrich the college experience for both students and parents. It also enhances communication among parents and the University. The Parents’ Council helps Islander families stay connected, well informed and engaged in the academic lives of students.
This giving society makes possible opportunities for students that build upon their academic strengths and practice what they learn in the classroom. Often funding can fall short to pay the costs of students to attend national conferences, compete in regional and national events, and travel to engage in academic research.
Parents’ Council funds provide unrestricted dollars that can meet the most pressing needs of students, as well as maintaining state-of-the-art facilities, providing mentoring and tutoring labs, and purchasing the latest technology equipment.
